AMCF Global Interaction 2014

The Association of Military Christian Fellowships (AMCF) holds a World Conference for its leaders and future leaders every ten years.  The next world conference is planned for 2014 in Cape Town, South Africa; it will be known as the AMCF Global Interaction 2014 (AMCF GI 2014).  The South African Military Christian Fellowships (SAMCF) is hosting the world’s Military Christian Fellowships (MCF), with the prayer that there will be more than 1,000 international military Christian participants from at least 150 countries and 600 South African military Christian participants.
The essence of the Global Interaction Vision and Mission is to inspire and equip participants to effectively disciple the military men and women of their nations; through establishing and strengthening MCFs in all countries of the world and thereby having a yeast effect (Matthew 13:33) on society by living out their faith in their families and communities.
The AMCF GI 2014 programme is being developed to allow for formal ‘teaching’ sessions followed by ministry and small group time.  The small groups will consist of participants from various parts of the world with a trained small group host from South Africa and southern Africa.  These hosts will be trained at the upcoming three ‘Warrior Training’ events.

AMCF GI 2014 Vision:

“All nations spiritually transformed through the work of MCF’s in their militaries.”

AMCF GI 2014 Mission:

“With the help of the Lord we will inspire and equip participants to effectively disciple the military men and women of their nations by establishing MCF’s in all the countries of the world and by growing & strengthening the MCFs and their members.”

About the AMCF

The Association of Military Christian Fellowships

The Association of Military Christian Fellowships (AMCF) is a worldwide body of Military Christian Fellowships (MCFs) with 148 countries’ MCF’s formally associated.  There are a number of MCFs that may not be formally associated due to Christianity being outlawed or persecuted in the specific countries. The AMCF is led by the President, General Srilal Weerasooriya of Sri Lanka. He is supported by 14 vice-presidents who are each responsible for one of the 14 regions across the world.  The AMCF is supported by 3 Principle Support Organisations (PSO) who send fieldworkers to the various countries’ military Christians.  These fieldworkers support and encourage local military Christians and assist them with the establishment and growth of Military Christian Fellowships.
